End of Rainbow Finds Win For Crabtree

Newport, Tn. (April 13, 2008) - Some elected to stay away with a chance of rain at 60 percent. But it ended early with a rainbow, and with that rainbow came a win for Indiana driver Jim Crabtree Jr.

Crabtree took the lead on lap 4 and never looked back in the 100 lapper at Newport Speedway this past Saturday night for the young Super Cup Stock Car Series.

Crabtree won the pole for the event however Larry Wilcox jumped to the top spot and led the first three laps before Crabtree sized him up for the lead.

Young Ryan Miller ousted Wilcox for second while Joe Harrison and Daniel Johnson rounded out the top five.

The Tri County season opener winner and female sensation, Megan Reitenour, spun early in the race and then fell out with mechanical problems.

It was Crabtrees first win of the season after blowing an engine while dealing for the lead at Tri County.

The Super Cup Stock Car Series now heads to Columbus Ohio for a 100 lap event on Saturday May 3rd.

Crabtree just smiles as Columbus is a little closer to home. He hopes that this rainbow will follow him there.

Crabtree was also on the Real Racin USA radio show last week to discuss his dealings in running the Super Cup Stock Car Series. The show is archieved and can be heard by going to the Real Racin USA website.
