Gearing up for Advance Auto Parts 199

To thank all of the great fans at Bowman Gray Stadium that have supported their stores as well as Bowman Gray Racing for the past 59 seasons, Advance Auto Parts has announced two incredible offers for race fans.

Stop by participating Winston-Salem area Advance Auto Parts stores to pick up your limited-edition “60th Anniversary Bowman Gray Stadium” collectible hat. These one of kind hats have been produced to honor sixty great years of racing at NASCAR’s longest running and best attended weekly track. Get yours today! The hats will be available on a first come first serve basis at participating Advance Auto Parts stores on starting on Sunday, July 27th. To get your hat, all you have to do is go to a participating Advance Auto Parts Stores starting tomorrow and pick up your FREE hat, while quantities last. No purchase is necessary. And while you are picking up their hats, fans may purchase adult admission (12 years and up) to the Friday, August 1st qualifying event for the Advance Auto Parts 199 for only $1.99 at any of the participating Winston-Salem Advance Auto Parts stores. Retail price at the track the night of the event is $8.00!

Fans who purchase the discounted admission will only have to present an original cash register receipt for the $1.99 admission at the Bowman Gray Stadium gates the night of the event for admission to the race. No hand written receipts will be accepted by the track. There is no purchase necessary and no limit to the number of admissions purchased per customer. The discounted admission offer will be good until Friday, August 1, 2008 or while supplies last.

Don’t miss this exciting event! The night will include qualifying for the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour, a 50-lap Stadium Modified race, as well as races for the Legends, Bandoleros, and Flat Head Ford Modifieds. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. Practice for all divisions will take place from 6:00 to 7:15 p.m. Qualifying for the Bowman Gray Stadium Modifieds will take place from 7:20 to 7:45 p.m. Final practice for the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour will take place from 8:35 to 8:40 p.m. with qualifying following immediately after practice. Legends and Flat Head Ford Modifieds races will follow the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified qualifying with the Bowman Gray Modified 50-lap race closing out the evening.
